Willie Nelson - Country Legend - has earned another No. 1 Album, but this time it is not on the Country charts but the Jazz Charts. Yes, you read correctly. His new record, 'Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin', debuted at the top of the Top Current Jazz and Top Traditional Jazz charts after releasing it on February 26.
Nelson officially announced this project in January. The Album features songs sang by George and Ira Gershwin, including hits such as “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “I Got Rhythm” and “Love Is Here to Stay.” Nelson also duets with Cyndi Lauper on “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” and with Sheryl Crow for “Embraceable You.” Summertime was produced by Nelson’s friend and musical collaborator Buddy Cannon, along with co-producer Matt Rollings. Fans can find Summertime on Amazon and iTunes.
