Following her single "Heartbeat", Underwood selected "Church Bells"as her next single from her album "Storyteller". Underwood made the announcement on Facebook on Tuesday (March 29). She said the fans' love for the song made her pick this one. Written by Zach Crowell, Brett James and Hillary Lindsey, and produced by Mark Bright, “Church Bells” is one of Underwood’s patented story songs; with a laugh, she calls it “”Fancy”‘s little sister.” Underwood explains the song: “She’s young, she’s pretty, she’s poor, doin’ what she can to survive, meets a man that has a lot of wealth and is supposed to take care of her and get her out of this, and she ends up with him, and he ends up not being a good guy at all and it forces her to be strong, and it forces her to do something that she never thought she’d be able to do. And she ends up … um, she ends up killing him, which is not a new subject for me, but again, it’s just one of those — there’s a beginning, there’s a middle, and there’s resolution at the end of the song …” Throughout the song the "Church Bells" represent different stages in her life. “In the beginning they represent a wedding; in the middle, they represent her needing some help after he abuses her … so then at the end, of course, the church bells represent the ones the ring out at his funeral, and she’s free."
A photo with the Easter Bunny is right up a little kids street - but not for Kelly Clarkson's daughter - River Rose. It was more traumatizing than exciting for her. Clarkson posted a photo of River Rose with the jolly rabbit on Sunday (March 27), and the toddler looked terrified and miserable. The singer employed her great sense of humor in the situation. Turns out River Rose just isn’t a fan of strangers in costumes holding her for photos. But not everything about Easter was bad for little River Rose. Clarkson posted another photo of her princess showing off a golden egg she found on an egg hunt alongside her purse and her Easter basket shaped like Dory from the movie Finding Nemo.
Dustin Lynch has released a music video for his latest single, “Mind Reader”. The Mind Reader video was shot in downtown Nashville overnight. The storyline makes staying up all night worth it. The clip opens on a gorgeous girl reading tarot cards, and throughout the clip, she’s seen with Lynch at a bar and having a fun night on the town. There’s a twist at the end, though. “This video was so much fun to create,” Lynch says. “Here’s to great date nights … And, ladies, it’s awesome if you make the first move!” Jennifer Nettles has released an emotional music video for her song “Unlove You,” the lead single off of her upcoming album, Playing With Fire.
The “Unlove You” clip touches on a difficult subject: what happens when two individuals who are married to other people find themselves attracted to each other. The video opens with shots of Nettles, clad in a red dress, sitting alone at a bar sipping whiskey and waiting for a date to arrive. From attraction and excitement to guilt and regret, the singer takes viewers on an emotional roller coaster of a journey. Nettles plays her part well, showing all of the emotions that go along with such an emotional conflict. Her character ends up hastily leaving the bar, and her date, behind, but viewers are left wondering what happens next and what direction she chooses to go in the future. “I am so proud of this record,” Nettles says. “I can’t wait to share it with my fans and hear their reactions. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun.” |
